The first ever dutch soccer match Johan Cruijff Schaal game AJAX - PSV  live on Tiktok!

In August 2022 Kemmer was asked by EMG to provide a live stream engineer to facilitate the first ever dutch soccer match on TikTok for ESPN.

The match for the Johan Cruijff Scale between Ajax and PSV can be seen live on Saturday not only on TV channel ESPN, but also via TikTok and YouTube. According to ESPN, a football match will be broadcast live via TikTok for the first time in the Netherlands.

The station sends an extra camera crew to the Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam, which films the match in the vertical format 9:16. Viewers can follow Ajax-PSV on their mobile phone via TikTok.

The experiment is being used to “connect a new group of fans on their favorite medium with live football,” said ESPN Director Rob Labree.

“The online reach of ESPN has increased enormously in recent years and TikTok in particular is growing exponentially. We now meet more than half a million football fans there who also have a telephone in their hand in addition to the remote control. We are very curious whether broadcasting the Johan Cruijff Scale is appreciated in this way.”
